AE 24.4 Web Administrator login error after upgrade

Summary After upgrading from version 22 to 24 and running CRW, a user hit an error during the initial login to AE Admin. The error shown was errorCode: 1103 with a System.NullReferenceException in AXAdministrator.Controllers.AXAdminSessionUserController.Get(...).

Symptoms

  • The issue appeared at the login screen in AE 24.4 Web Administrator after the upgrade.
  • The customer reported the failure immediately after the initial CRW run and first login attempt.
  •  The error message indicated an object reference was not set to an instance of an object.

Resolution

The issue was resolved by truncating the cm_config table and rerunning CRW.
