AE - Cannot Drag and Drop Onto Inline Rendered Foreign Files

When a page being displayed is an inline rendered foreign file, dragging and dropping a file to add pages to a document does not work.

Applies to Version:
24.4 p12 and up.

Issue:

When a page being displayed is an inline rendered foreign file, dragging and dropping a file to add pages to a document does not work. The drag and dropped file is either displayed in a different browser tab or is downloaded to the file system by the browser.

If the foreign file is not rendered inline the drag and drop process works without issue.

Resolution:

You have to drag it to the outside area of the frame.
