AppEnhancer 25.2 “The document write path is invalid” when saving new applications
AppEnhancer 25.2 environment, users received the error “The document write path is invalid” when attempting to save a new application. Existing applications continued to use the same document path successfully.
Symptoms
New application saves failed with “The document write path is invalid”.
The configured document path was \\docmngr25\axdocs$.
Existing applications were already using that same hidden share without issue.
The path appeared in the AE_Apps database table.
The path did not appear in the AppEnhancer Admin interface.
There were no reported issues with adding or viewing documents already stored in that location.
Validation completed during troubleshooting
The following checks were completed before the issue was resolved:
Confirmed the impersonation account had full access to the share.
Confirmed the relevant local policies were in place.
Reviewed whether database corruption might be involved.
Confirmed the application storage path existed in the database, even though it was not visible in Storage Management.
Root cause
The application storage path was missing from Storage Management in the AppEnhancer configuration. Although the path still existed in the database and worked for existing applications, new application creation depended on the path being present in Storage Management.
Resolution
Add the application storage path back into Storage Management, then retry saving the new application.
