Tungsten Capture - How to Uninstall
Order of Uninstallation for a Kofax\Tungsten Workstation.
Applies to Versions:
11.0+
Summary:
You will be uninstalling the Kofax/Tungsten modules and applications first then Capture last.
Do not uninstall:
Scanner drivers
Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server
BEFORE THE UNINSTALLALLATION BEGINS:
Disable AV.
Disable UAT.
Stop all Kofax Capture services and modules.
Stop all Kofax Capture services add-on (KTM, KIC)
Open Control Panel then select the following modules to uninstall in Programs and Features
In the main window it will list all the installed applications. Scroll to…
· Custom Panels’, right click and select Uninstall.
· Scroll to ‘Kofax Transformation Modules v6/7.*, right click and select Uninstall.
Before Kofax Capture 11.0… is uninstalled, we need to uninstall the Capture updates listed below:
Select ‘View installed updates’ in the left section of the window.
· Click on ‘Uninstall’ to the right of Kofax Captue 11.01.2
· Click on ‘Uninstall’ to the right of Kofax Captue 11.01 (Service Pack 1)
Close the window when it’s completed.
· Scroll up to Kofax Capture 11.0 – Workstation (Uninstall), right click and select Uninstall/Change.
The entry above it, Kofax Capture 11.0, will be removed after completing the … Workstation (Uninstall).
Reboot the computer and it is ready for installing Capture 11.2
