# Unable to connect to the Tungsten Capture remote server

## Received error message: \[7001 \] SALicClnt: Unable to connect to the remote server No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it xx.xxx.xx.xx:2424

This issue may simply be caused by the Tungsten Kofax License service not being started.

Option 1: Go to Services.msc on the License server and verify that the service is started and running. 

Option 2: On the license server - Open Inbound Rules and add TCP Port#2424.
