xPlore 1.6 Patch JDK upgrade JAVA_LINK

 

Cause

xPlore 1.6 contains a JAVA_LINK shortcut in the java64 folder that points to the current JDK version.

when upgrading JDK after applying xPlore 1.6 patches, the JAVA_LINK shortcut needs to be updated.

The batch file: ${xPlore_home}\wildfly9.0.1\bin\dctmServerStatus.bat Contains JAVA_LINK not 1.8.0_77. so when updating per patch note instructions, this file would not be updated. Therefore it will no longer point to a valid JDK directory.

Resolution

After performing all installation steps to update JDK, also do the following:

Windows:
"mklink /d JAVA_LINK ${xPlore_home}\java64\1.8.0_121"

Linux:
"ln JAVA_LINK -s ${xPlore_home}/java64/1.8.0_121"
